When a client returns to your service after having already wrapped up a case, you have to decide whether you should begin a new case or reopen the previous case.
A good rule of thumb is to create a new case if:
- The client’s situation is significantly different from when the last case was closed, or
- A significant period of time has passed since the closing of the last case (eg more than six months).
How to reopen a case
1 - Navigate to the client record you wish to reopen a case for.
2 - Click on the View case details button.
3 - Click on the Reopen case button.
4 - Client Voices is a sensible chap and will present a message asking if you are sure you want to reopen the case. If you're sure, click on the Reopen button.
The case has now been reopened.
