Funding groups explained

The purpose of funding groups is to group together clients under a specific funding contract, and run reports based on those groupings.

For example, you may be funded by the Pōrangi Trust to receive referrals from that Trust. You’ll want to be able to create a group in Client Voices and allocate clients to that group, so you can report to Pōrangi Trust.

But, it’s not limited to funders. There are multiple reasons you’d want to segment clients for reporting.

If your service has multiple branches, you can flag which branch your client is associated with.

Your service may have begun a project of some sort, and you want to flag the clients that are benefiting from the project.

How you use these groups is entirely up to you.

You don’t want to create too many groups, but there’s no limit to the number you can create.
