The budget worksheet is one of the core elements of the client case. The purpose of this article is to help you navigate the budget worksheet in Client Voices. It’s assumed at this point that you know how to use a budget worksheet.

Note: The budget worksheet autosaves, so you don’t have to save your work manually. This means you don’t lose your work if your computer crashes, or if your browser closes.

Income

This is the section where you record all the client’s income information.

The fields in the image below label the type of income the item is from.

The next part is the Amount of that in come. This is the amount of income for each time the client is paid from each income source.

The Frequency is how often this income is received.

The weekly subtotal tells us the weekly breakdown of each income item. Continue reading to find out how to change the frequency to fortnightly of monthly.

At the bottom of the income items is the Total income amount.

To add a new income item, click the Add income item button.

To delete an income it, click on the downward arrow on the item you wish to delete, then click the Delete item button.

Expenses

The budget worksheet always begins with the expense items listed below. This is just to provide a start point for you to work from.

The first expense item in this budget is a debt item from the Debt schedule. These will always appear at the top of the budget, and you can spot them because they’re shaded grey. These debt items cannot be removed from the budget worksheet. They need to be deleted from the Debt schedule.

There are two ways to add expense items. To add a single expense item, click the Add expense item button.

Like any good budget, you can see the sum of your client's expenses.

The Total available section will show whether the budget is in deficit or surplus.

Finally, you can change the frequency of the budget to per week, per fortnight or per month.
